I’ve been out to the west coast and the east
but hardly any place in between
sometimes I think my demons
are getting the best of me
sometimes I feel the answers
are right in front of me–
cleverly disguised so that they –
can rarely be seen–

and I think that I’m changing course
don‘t wanna be the one -
who‘s gonna get there first -
I’m heading off down a different road
from the one I started -

and I think that things are moving too fast –
is anything really meant to last –

from the one I started–

Never had a reason to go
into the bad part of town
seeing all of those rich folks
can so often just get me down
seeing all those faces
they all look the same to me
tired of all of their stupid shit
and all their hostilities
